Company timeline

Cloud Unboxed was formed in 2013 by Anthony and Olly as a merger between two specialist hosting companies, Somerset Technical Solutions and ello group, but our heritage spans way back to 2007:
Launch of level1internet.com brand, reselling shared web hosting packages, ADSL broadband and web design services.
Success and growth of the level1internet.com brand leads to the development and launch of the "hosting cloud," shared web hosting platform designed for scalability and reliability.
Continued success of hosting products yields the launch of xagga.co.uk brand, offering value for money hosting services with dependable support. Somerset Technical Solutions launches as an IT and server management specialist to SMB and SMEs.
Creation of VPSnodes.net BETA cloud server project and accompanying formation of ello group limited. Somerset Technical Solutions grows to market leader status in the UK for server management of SMB and SMEs.
Launch of pioneering VPSnodes.net cloud server brand and collaboration with Somerset Technical Solutions, offering a one-stop complete hosting solution to UK SMB and SMEs.
Continued growth and expansion of VPSnodes.net brand into Newcastle UK, Kent UK, France, Germany and United States data centres. 2000+ deployed cloud servers reaching 1TB RAM milestone.
Wholesale / white label division launched, enabling startups to resell our vast range of products. Strong growth and increased revenue witnessed across all brands.
Somerset Technical Solutions and ello group merger to create Cloud Unboxed 'superbrand' in the hosting industry. Expansion of VPSnodes.net brand sees the launch of VPSnodes.net Enterprise for private cloud customers.
VPSnodes.net and accompanying IaaS BETA-project DeployVM collaboratively operate services in 7 data centres worldwide. We achieve G-Cloud accredation for hosting Government projects in private clouds.
IaaS brand DeployVM proves massively popular for new and existing customers alike, pushes further expansion to 10+ data centres worldwide. New products include load balancers, cloud databases and more.
BETA-projects AceCDN and AceWAF launched, to help improve website static file delivery and reduce malicious requests by blocking at network edge.
Expansion of DeployVM locations leads to 24 data centre milestone. Partnership with ISP-Backbone connect all 24 data centres using a class-leading transit network, bringing significant performance & reliability competitive edge.
